At LONG last!!!

It is my greatest pleasure to introduce the cutest little love buns born into this world on Saturday, October 25, 2008…..my nephew….

ABEL ANTONIO MERINO
9 lbs. 2 oz. 21 inches

First of all, you MUST understand…I am NOT a mother! The closest thing I have to a child is my one year old Bichon Frise puppy. I can’t explain the love that pours out of my heart when I look at my nephew. I know I’m biased, but I can’t help it, he is the most adorable little black-haired baby I have ever seen!!

Maricela was a champion after pushing for 2 ½ hours they finally realized Abel was not trying to come out that way, so they took her in for a C-section. She started having strong contractions at about 11:30 P.M. on Friday night. Ricardo was en route to pick up her mom and sister from the airport so I was left in his place…hehehe! We left for the hospital and to keep a long story short, they sent us home (she wasn’t progressing she was dilated at a 2+…I have issues with the way the nurse chose to go about it…but I won’t get into that). At 5 A.M. the contractions were unbearable and back they went to the hospital where they found she was dilated to a 5. To make a long story short, at 11:57 A.M. Saturday morning…Abel was born!!!

It was perfect timing!! I feel so happy for my brother and sister in law…they finally have their healthy boy! I feel blessed that I was here to be a part of this beautiful occasion!

Congratulations Ricardo and Maricela….we love you both and Abel so very much!!

P.S. To my mom and dad….You’re finally abuelos….can you believe it?? Los queremos mucho mucho!!!
